Sorry for the emo 2-word post.. yea, my grandpa passed away on tuesday. I thought i was mentally prepared for it, but i still cried and grieved. On monday, the doctors were saying his condition was improving, my grandpa talked more, looked healthier, so my family thought this wouldnt happen so soon. Somehow, he left the next day...my whole family was caught off-guard i guess. Received the news while mum,bro and i were eating lunch, a sms from my dad. We were all quite cool about it then, continued eating like nothing happened. But after lunch, my bro went to his room, me to my room, and my mum in living room...all 3 of us cried. Was reli reli painful...i wanted to just shout and release all the grief in me, but my neighbours will prolly think im being raped, so i shut it all in my heart. I wasnt exactly very close to my grandpa, in fact i havent seen him for 4/5 years already. But memories of him kept flowing into me...how he looked wearing a macdonalds clothing when he worked there 12 years ago...him playing a 1v1 mahjong with me when i just started learning...him bringing me to go fishing somewhere near his hse in china...him buying a basketball for me...his smile. I dont even dare to ask my mum for more details cos im afraid she may get emo thinking about it again. I hate myself for not going to china to visit him these few years...all he could see were pictures of me during the melbourne trip. I suggested a webcam meeting, but the hospital didnt have internet. He must have missed me a lot..but i wasnt there for him. No words can describe the pain i felt in my heart on tuesday... But after all the crying and grieving, life goes on. I cant just stay stuck in tuesday. I went to work these few days, been quite busy. A lot of stuff to do in JCU, so contract got extended again. Andd zomg my supervisor's boss...karin?kareen? i duno how to spell your name =x ... actually found my blog. I was totally shocked when she started talking bout my blog contents O.O Quite cool actually, funny too. I havent tried the method that she used to find my blog...prolly gonna try it next time if i wanna stalk some one xD Went for dinner at Pepper Lunch with emo and junyi after work on friday at amk =) Havent had a meal with them for a long long time... so it was good, got me smiling the whole day. Wanted to treat emo, but only treated her about half the cost of her set? Heh. I made straw star and heart from the straws there..i think emo took the star, what happened to the heart?? lol. Emo wanted to take straws too, but mistook chopstick for straw. Was orange, thought it looked nice, so she took one. Realised that the stick was too hard to be a straw while she was returning to the table, so she put it back. HAHAHA. Still a silly girl, like always. Went to Eunos again for orientation again..learnt quite a lot. Gonna go back again tmr to be guinea pig for experiments. LOL no lar. Supposed to be quite interesting. Took the CAL water test today. The water tastes different to everyone, but most ppl agrees its bitter/fishy taste. But it tasted sweet to me after 2 seconds in my mouth. Funny. Halfway there, the zoo called me to go down for job interview next next week. They're so 'efficient' nia. Emailed them my resume like 3 weeks ago? Now then reply -.- No idea whats the pay, job scope, or anything. I'll just go for the interview i guess. The zoo isnt exactly v far from my hse either. Ohh i got a seminar to attend this coming wed. Conrad hotel. I think its..5/6 star? So i gotta wear reli formal. Thing is, i got no tie to wear. Only got CJC and CSS tie -.- Andd i'll prolly look weird wearing so formal with blazer, but no tie. So i need suggestions on what color tie suits me! But theres cca bazaar on wed too, so i got no idea how i can go for the bazaar, and rush to conrad hotel x.x Then ivan's asking me whether wanna go back for the j1s orientation on saturday o.o Seriously, need to see how first. I'm working 7-days a week now leh. But i can prolly pull out half a day on sat i guess. So...SUGGESTIONS FOR TIE COLOR PLEASE! Tag my board =)

Here without you

Work's been good. People at james cook uni are reli nice. My job isnt exactly very tough. And my work contract got extended till 30th Jan instead, cos Mrs Swan, my supervisor, thinks im reli efficient, and wants me there longer. xD Big boss of JCU went around giving angbaos to all employee, and i got one too. Was so small and thin, i thought it was 10 bucks at first. Opened...blue note. =D Mrs Swan gave me a 20 bucks angbao as well. Shiock! But then again, im still prolly one of those people who gets the least angbao money, since all my relatives are in China. I got nobody to collect angbao from! =( Went for interview at Eunos, and i got accepted into the company without me knowing. Venture Era, a sales and marketing group. So now im a sales agent. Went for orientation yesterday, got to know more about the company, and had a meeting with the whole group. Met up with all the managers, and the business group manager. It's reli fun, reli like an orientation. All the managers there are only 19~21 years old, so theres no generation gap between us. Even the group business manager is only 27 years old. My 3hrs+ there ytd was reli fun, so it got me quite happy and high. =p Today, my family received terrible news. My grandpa has been lying in the hospital the last few days, and the doctors got no idea what is wrong with him. Just 10 mins ago, my relatives called to say the doctors found the source of the problem.. a tumour right beside the heart. Since my grandpa's so old, and doing operation for his heart is really risky...my grandpa can be considered... terminally ill. No, dont worry, im fine. In fact, even my dad is feeling fine. My dad's trying to get an air ticket to fly to China asap..but all the flight agencies are closed due to CNY. So we're trying to see if we can get a ticket online. Then again, the plane can only land at Beijing..still need to find a way to get to Cheng De, since all the trains there are on holiday too. Things will work out somehow...or so i think...

Here without you

I'll be working the next 5 days, as a professor in James Cook University... No, I will be working in James Cook University, but not as a professor. Gonna work as a Temp Admin Assistant, doing filing/documentation and stuff. But its only for 5 days =/ 8.30am-6pm everyday, and the uni isnt near my house at all. Its in upper thomson, and the nearest mrt is ang mo kio. Havent tried going there yet, but i doubt i will get lost, since im good with directions =p But i prolly needa leave house quite early, cos i think i will need approx 1hr to reach there. Hope it'll be fun working there. While i was wondering if i will ever find a job after these 5 days, i received a call just now. This company by duno what name, said im shortlisted to go for interview. So, after work on tuesday, i will need to rush down to Eunos mrt by 7pm for my interview. The guy said it'll be on presentations and stuff, duno what thing. Regardless, i see a glimmer of hope! =D

Long time since i last blogged. Been too lazy, and there isn't much incentive to blog seeing how my tagboard's been dead for almost a month. I wont be blogging the last part about my melbourne trip, nothing exciting anyway. Life's been boring. Jer,gab, and bk are in NS now. I've been looking for a job, but havent found any. But i finally bought a jigsaw puzzle! A 2000-piece one, cost me 99 bucks. LOL. I think im the only guy dumb enough to spend so much money on a jigsaw puzzle. But i've been quite successful with the puzzle till now, cos i've been piecing the easier parts. Im left with the clouds and grass now...gonna take me quite a long time to piece. xD Went back for open house at CJC last friday. Only stayed like 3+ hours cos it was quite boring. But it's good to be able to see everyone after so long. Royston was the only other J3 there though, and he didnt stay long. Life's gonna continue to be boring until i find a job...so i doubt i'll be blogging much, unless i find motivation to blog. =/

Melbourne Trip II

Now for part 2 of my melbourne trip. Not gonna have so many pics.
3rd day there was during x'mas. Its reli dumb, NO shops are open during tt day, 'cept the shops in Chinatown. So there are basically very few places to visit. And there are barely any decorations around in the city. =/
Anyway, since we've reli been rushing around a lot the last 2 days, we were allowed to sleep in a bit longer. Morning call was at 8.30, compared to 7 the last 2 days. We had another driver for tt day, a chinese guy, cos nick went home to celebrate x'mas with his family. My heart totally sank when the tour guide told us we were going to...i cant remember the name of the place, to have a BARBEQUE. ZOMG just when i thought i can finally escape from bbq -.- The place there was quite nice, quite a lot of ppl, and there were many wild parrots there.

Me feeding a parrot =) Anyway, good thing the bbq pit didnt need charcoal and all, so we can go there and cook straight away without starting a fire. Phew. Nothing much reli, 'cept i was helping cook the food, and there were doughnuts! I ate quite a few doughnuts cos nobody wanted to eat them. xD

So after lunch, we headed down to Yarra Valley to a winery! WOO~ Quite a pleasant surprise, cos the driver and tour guide were both expecting it to be closed. Best thing is, we were allowed to have free samples of their wine! We were allowed to sample their red and white wine, but there were different ones for those 2. So total around...15+ kinds of wine? I was expecting my dad to place some form of restriction on the amount i can drink, but he didnt. I just drank and drank and sampled ALL the kinds of red and white wine they provided. =D No, i didnt get drunk, in fact i've never gotten drunk before though i drink quite a lot. But i think i drank a bit too quickly. For each glass of wine, i took 2 sips to sample the taste, then drank down the remaining like it was a shot glass, so my throat was burning in the end. xD Hmm i cant rmb all the names of the wine, i took a brochure from there but my dad lost it -.- I think i like Shiraz the best there, but there's another one, tastes like champagne, also not bad. We were then allowed to visit their grape farms which they use to make wine.

I know the pic is reli small, but i was holding a bunch of grapes in my hand. They're reli small, cos they just started bearing fruit not long ago, harvest will be in april/may.

After this, we headed down to a store to do a lil bit of shopping. Its just one store, i wonder if u can call tt shopping. Anyway, the shop was owned by a chinese guy. Our tour guide has been frens with him for more than 10 years, so she brought us there. We saw this notebook, that has a 100 dollar note picture in front of each page. My dad,bro and i thought it was reli interesting, and wanted to buy, since it's just 5 bucks. But my mum was saying later police catch us for owning counterfeit notes, etc etc. So after much argument, we didnt buy it in the end. The aunties were all interested in buying abalone from tt store, but the store owner took out abalones that are already expired, and tried to sell them -.- The aunties didnt realise at first, cos they duno english, but our tour guide noticed it. So she actually had a quarrel with him before he took out the non-expired ones. She was saying how disappointed she was, after being frens for 10 years, blah blah blah, throughout the whole journey back to our hotel. I thought it was quite irritating, but its a good thing to have a responsible tour guide i guess.

We were then allowed free time to walk around the city. Not a lot of shops were open, so we just had dinner at a korean restaurant, then walked around the city. Sorry shelvi, i didnt get the chance to go Melbourne University =x Anyway, we decided to go to the casino, since my dad was itching to gamble. But hell, my bro and i were denied entry into the casino -.- My bro obviously couldnt enter, cos hes still under the legal age. Im past the legal age, but the person at the entrance insists on seeing some form of identification. We didnt bring out passports with us, so my bro,mum and i just sat outside and ate ice-cream, while my dad went in to gamble. As usual, yea, usual, my dad lost money. Good thing we gave him a time limit to stay inside, so he came out at 9.30pm, losing only about 20+bucks. Phew. He lost a few hundred bucks the last time he went inside casino in gold coast -.- Soo thats how i spent my x'mas, nothing exciting really.

I'll post the final part next time. Im too lazy now. =x
