Been checking out some of my fren's blogs, and realised they are all deleted already. Maybe cos of facebook? Your frens more or less know what you're doing from your updates in facebook. But i think they are not exactly detailed enough, so imma keep this blog alive =) Been wayyy too long since i updated anything detailed, so i dun reli know where to start. Maybe my grad parade first? Was quite terrible cos' i was running 38.5 degrees fever on the day of the parade itself. I almost wanted to fall out during the rehearsal in the morning of the big day. But i went through it anyway, and survived my day on panadols. Regardless, i successfully completed the parade! Was kinda cool, with the Chief Of Army, and Sergent Major of Army going down to grace the parade. And so from that day on, i've been wearing the 3Sg rank =) Fast forward to my birthday! My family went for a trip to thailand which i couldn't go. They came back on 17th Dec, then my parents went overseas to China again for holiday on 19th night. I duno why, but they are kinda crazy about travelling around the world lol. Anyway, sec sch guys came over on 19th night to celebrate my birthday. Usual band hero and stuff, but this time with yj and jer around. And bk finally stayed over at my house. Thank you all who remembered my birthday! Moving on to x'mas eve. A half day in camp, so all of us booked out in the afternoon. Went to GV Tiong Bahru with bunk mates to watch 3D Avatar! Easily one of the best movie i've ever watched. The visuals were AMAZING and it being 3D made it so life-like. Good thing Ernest's sis helped us book tix before hand, cos when we went there, the queue was VERY long xD After the movie, most of us went our seperate ways while Sheng Yu and I went to City Hall to meet Wei Sheng and Christopher Ong for Hope Church Christmas Service at Suntec, 'At the Door'. Enjoyed myself singing all the songs, the drama was really meaningful and from that event on, I am a new Believer of Christianity. Yea, no more 'Free thinker' under the 'Religion' section of forms to be filled in. I think it's a huge commitment to have, but i believe i am prepared. =) On the day of X'mas itself, camp mates came over to play- band hero DUH! I must admit, Chong Thee is very good with the drums. Casper was much better than I thought- able to play expert guitar with a decent score, so far the only ones who can do that in my house are gab and me =O Wei Sheng sings quite well, and sings VERY well for 'If you could only see- Tonic', and he's got me addicted to the song now. Watched Scary Movie 1&4 on Mio TV cos it was only 2 bucks permovie, so cheap. But the movies were so lame xD Then on the last Sunday of 2009, I met up with my primary school mates at Causeway Point! Uhh for half of them, we met up once during end of sec 4, but for the other half, i havent seen them in 7 years!! Was kinda weird at first, duno what to talk about to each other cos we havent seen each other for so long. But its kinda amazing we still rmb stuff about what happened during pri sch days. We even rmb which 'house' we belong to during pe in sch! HAHAHA. But zomg, i ate pizza hut delivery during x'mas, then had pizza hut the next day cos my parents just came back and wanna eat pizza hut, then i had pizza hut AGAIN that day cos they wanna eat pizza hut X.X Kinda disappointed Ms Nalini couldnt make it, but it was great meeting everyone again! And of course, we'll meet again some time soon =D I think that's enough for now? Meeting Wei Sheng tmr for church, then dinner, then go ernest's concert together. ANKLE SPRAIN AGAIN

Yea, as the title says, i sprained my ankle again. Prolly...the sixth time i sprained my left ankle? Crazy. Happened while i was playing bball in camp. Jump, landed on someone's leg.. BOOMZ, ankle sprain. Bleh. So yea, went to report sick for the first time since coming ns. Excuse RMJ 10 days.

Anyway, my cbre course is over. Gonna go back to nee soon camp next week.

I want to blog, but too lazy to blog much. Prolly next time i guess.

Another week has passed. Gonna be booking in again in an hour time. Last week was quite cool. 4km route march in mopp4 then 2km mask run. Siao bo. Me and zhaodong are the only pair to catch up with front scout, but im like one of the last for mask run. LOL. Our 'father', course commander is back from whatever he was doing the last few weeks, so our lives in camp are getting a bit more regimental. Learnt how to drive some mini-van thing too. Wasn't too confident with all the s-course and reverse parking, etc at first. But lucky nothing cocked up for me. So i passed the lil driving test. But then again, whole course only 1 guy failed. Lol. Then had dinner with the course and our commanders at sakura buffet at woodlands. This is like what, my fourth? fifth? time eating there already. Most of the commanders just kept to themselves, only 2 of 'em were chatting with us. =/ Overall fun still lar.

I'm hooked on to NGS2 on my ps3 currently. Hooked onto guitar hero too. But weekends so lil time to play. =( Still gotta study for stupid tests which are sooo time consuming. Oh well, at least i got day off this coming friday! Wahaha. Maybe going back cjc again to look look. Iuno, get ivan along and ask him pass me my freaking ds before i forget that i own a ds. LOL.

Im addicted to Creed's songs. Some are reli emo, but nice! "Im six feet from the edge and im thinking, maybe six feet ain't so far down~~" Being addicted to songs is good. Just keep thinking about that song in your head while doing route march, and you forget all the pain and fatigue. =D

Earthquakes felt in singapore, but NOTHING was felt in my camp. Disappointing =/

Took me months to realise an interesting note on my shampoo bottle. Goes something like "Attention, this product gives your hair such confidence that it attracts many ladies. Beware." LOL. Something like that, cant rmb the exact phrasing. The bottle is in camp now, i'll rmb to post a pic next time.

I cant wait for 2010 to come! FFXIII looks dam cool, FF Versus XIII looks even more freaking awesome. =D

Gonna meet my class later for dinner and prolly pub-ing? The girls dun wanna go clubbing, oh well.

I hope ivan turns up and returns me my ds. It's been months since i last saw my ds.

Update update. I reli did get into CBRD, together with quite a few ppl from my section. But ANG ZHENYI DIDNT GET IN! ZOMG! For the first time in 5 months, we're seperated. Wah lao eh, feels as though i just broke up with my gf or something. LOL. And according to him, bridging sucks. =/ Oh well, i just hope life gets better for him soon.

As for me, CBRD training the last few days was..quite okay. Lectures most of the time, and the stuff we learn is insanely a lot. Chemical defence is so chemistry(duh), biological is so biology(duh), and radiological is so physics. Wtf sia, totally like studying for 'A' levels again. And to make things worse, the theory tests are much stricter than anything i've had till now. Fail once got retest. But failing retest will get you out-of-course. O.O Hell, every time we got time, my bunk mates will be there reading notes. Zomg scary.

Oh and the bunks are ridiculous. Super small, dusty bunks with double-deckered beds, shared by eleven people. Baths got no doors, theres only one water cooler in the whole building. Terrible living conditions. =/ Good thing is, our commanders focus a lot on fitness, 5bx with run every morning, doing chin-ups every time before meals. Okay lar, nothing much to mention, 'cept we played bball while wearing gas mask ytd. Quite shag, but dam fun. Heh.

My PC guitar hero is sold! And i got the ps3 guitar hero! YAY! But its not something i can play 24/7, fingers too pain. In fact, i stop after 1 hr of gameplay each time. Its been fun so far, 'hard' difficulty isnt exactly v hard, i think imma move on to 'expert' soon. =D

Since monday is public holiday, we got 3 days break including today. My parents took this chance to go overseas and have a holiday AGAIN. They're crazy. Everytime got chance, go for holiday by themselves and leave me and my bro at home. But not like it matters lar, i also dont reli wanna go. I got no idea where they are now, but its only 2 days 1 night, so oh well. And my dad is hilarious, sent me and my bro a msg saying:

"hi, kai and rui, we just hd dinner. A lot of insects. Take care. Mum Dad"

HAHAHA i couldnt stop laughing when i saw the msg. It was okay at first, i understood what he meant, that there are a lot of insects at the place they are. But reading the msg again, he sounded as though he ate a lot of insects for dinner! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Funny.

Oh ya i just noticed the ps3 trophies thingy after i added japhet as fren. Hell he got what, 100+ bronze trophies and some silver/gold ones. Hes a level 5 trophy collector, while im only level 2 -.- Imma try and get more trophies on my GH5. Heh. Oh and to all my frens with ps3, add me ps3 fren at 'StrikeDKaiZ'. Or just leave ur PSN name on my tagboard or something and i'll add you. =D

Lazy to blog much. I got my blue beret already. BTW-STW course is ending tmr. Gonna get posting tmr, either EOD or CBRD or Bridging. Out of 56 ppl, only 30+ going EOD/CBRD. Tues no need go camp, but got something arranged for us at chevrons, iuno what. Wed book in early morning to go seletar camp. Continue my boring life.

Anyway, im selling my pc guitar hero for 90 bucks. Or maybe cheaper. I wanna get some money and buy guitar hero for my ps3. Not gonna buy the whole set with mic, drum, etc. Just guitar. Kthxbai.

Okayy now for a proper post before i book in later. Life in ETI is...tougher than I thought. As in the regimental is dam strict, compared to sispec at least. Im in the same bunk as my long-time buddy jon ang again. HAHAHA. The whole BTC-STW only has 2 platoons, im in plt 2, while raphael and sinyean are in plt 1.

All of us feel asif we're back to being recruits. We get scolded and punished for not singing while running. Hell, how much and how loud do they expect us to sing while we're running 4.5km? I was at the back, trying to lead songs all the way. Me and a few others reli try to lead until du lan liao, come back still kena scolded. Then water parade must say 7 core values/ specialist's creed. Wth sia. And we have dam lil admin time. I hardly have any time to stay in the bunk since first parade till last parade. And we always have activities until 9+pm. The bathing water is soooo freaking cold that i dread taking a bath even though im all sweaty and stuff. Of course, i still bathe. But ZOMG 2 platoons use 2 toilets for bathing. There's ALWAYS a long queue for the bath. So, 2 choices, either really rush up, strip, get bathing things and be first, or relax, wait for everyone to finish then go bathe. I've been doing the latter. Too lazy to rush.

And im the armskote 2ic now. Sian. Picked by random, i was thinking i wont so suay one. 46 ppl, choose 2 for armskote ic and 2ic. Somehow, i just kena. Lol suay. Had a stupid highway code with no prior experience, no revision or anything. So obviously, i failed to meet the 90% mark. Only got 64% the first try, 86% the second try, then finally PASS 90% at 3rd try. LOL. Anyway, life there is quite boring, lectures most of the time. Then lecture finish, go practical. It's been all about demolition this week, i wonder if we're doing something else next week.

For the first time in a long time, im actually feeling emo that i have to book in again. Iuno, i thought i should have gotten used to army life by now. Maybe its just the sudden change in regimental discipline thats hard for me to swallow. Im reli glad at least jon ang is in the same bunk as me again. Things are gonna be that much tougher if i dont have any close frens with me in ETI. But then again, i bet it's the same everywhere else. Heard from ching that boonping is saying air force is also dam strict. ASLC cant be any better, with darence wanting to ooc already. YJ's going to taiwan for 4 weeks armor training. Bahh, i reli envy hou cheng and jer who're gonna become 3SG next week or something. =/

Okayy enough of complaints. At least there's something to be happy about. I'm only gonna stay in ETI-BTC-STW until 14th Sept, which is when we will have completed our basic combat engineer course. Will be going back to PLC for beret ceremony on that day. Then post out again after that. Most likely CBRE at seletar camp, if i do well for the interview next week. I just hope life in cbre gets at least a lil better than this. Bleh.

Booking in tmr. I always knew nee soon camp wasnt v far from my house. I just went to check out the route, i'll say i only need 15 mins bus ride to reach. LOL. But hell, so many things to bring back tmr. Ahh.

Ohh did i mention? My mum is suddenly dam ON about how my house looks. She thinks it's reli messy. So over the course of this week, she threw away my sofa bed (im using my original sofa bed now), bought a new shelf to put in my room, bought a new tv shelf in the living room and threw away the old one, then bought a new single-seat sofa to put in living room. -_____________________________-" I duno what came to her all of a sudden, but she's even having plans to buy a new house now. She just told my dad that they should find time to go look at new houses. Of course, we're not gonna sell my current house...now. Wait till 2015, got MRT and sports complex in bukit panjang, then sell. PROFIT. $.$ Oh well, i dont mind moving house actually, i think the house is getting a bit too small. But nahh, not gonna be anytime soon.

I finally ate at Kai's Fan Club (KFC) ytd for dinner. First time eating KFC ever since NS started. LOL. Then had buffet at Sakura for lunch today. TOTALLY FATTENING. Im so gonna die during PTs in camp. =/

Okayy sorry for the lack of updates, cos my stupid laptop broke down on sunday! Block leave start, laptop die. Great. And since i had to go to camp on mon and tues, i couldnt send it for repair until wed, and i only got it back ytd. At least im glad it only took 2 days to repair it. I sent my earphones in for repair as well. Sennheiser was nice enough to give me a free upgrade of my earphone, from MX75 to MX85 Sports II, cos they said the MX75 is 'beyond repair'. LOL. And yea, i got my earphones ytd as well. Cool.

Not having my laptop with me didnt really bother me much cos im already used to it through NS. Hahaha. I just played my PS3 when i got time. Im hooked onto Prototype now. ZOMG this game is INSANELY FUN! Okayy definitely not the type of game for ppl who cant take gore and strong violence. It's rated M18 after all. But ZOMG the fast paced action and dark, intriguing storyline makes it the best game i've ever played. But since there's gore, i got to be careful when my parents are at home, they'll prolly scold me if they see the game. There was once, i was playing, then my mum just sat down at the sofa, watching me play while shes eating some fruit. I didnt even dare to go around fighting stuff, i just jumped and flew from building to building, enjoying the scenery. LOL.

Official news that a cheaper, slimer ps3 is coming out. I doubt im gonna sell my current ps3 to get it. No point. If we're talking about PSP, where u need to carry it around wherever u go, then yea u prolly wan a slimer version. But ps3 u're just gonna plug it to ur tv and leave it on the ground. So yea, no point. Heh.

Tmr is the last day of block leave. Im gonna stay home and emo about how i got no more leaves to take for this year. Boohoo. =/

Insomnia

Hmm lets see where should i start. Grand slam was okayy, quite shag, shell scrape was crap. Went back to camp and had section live firing the following day. I didnt have COS duty that weekend, so all was good.

Had urban ops the following week. Warrant Billay? Pillay? was dam funny. SLOW IS SMOOTH! SMOOTH IS FAST! Then i was sect comm those 2 days, so i had to take charge at our road control point at night. Our pwo suddenly drove the stupid rover dam fast and charged into our RCP. I thought he was testing our drills, so I was like "HALT! HALT! HALT OR I'LL SHOOT!" and my section just all started firing blanks at him. LOL. Of course, nothing happened 'cept we were told not to fire anymore blanks.

Back to camp, I was told last minute that I got regimental guard duty that friday, so i was only allowed to go home on sat morning. I was dam pissed at that moment, cos we had to book in again that sat night to prepare for route march. Bleh. I was tasked to do desk duty with Ivan Xu. We planned to take turns throughout the 14 hours of duty. Plan was for me to sleep first while he do. But hell, 8.30pm got riot drill, 9.30pm got staff parade, 10.30pm got turn-out, i sleep what crap? Then in exchange for the CDO to not have another turnout, the PTI guard comm agreed to do all the saikang for him. And i was the only one who woke up at 11+pm to help him with it. Did till 2am then it was my turn to do desk duty. -__________________________________-" So basically i didnt sleep much at all. But i think it was quite fun lar, learnt quite a bit about guard duty stuff. Heh.

So sunday was NDP, and we had to go back for a 28km route march. Was quite tiring. Breaks in between were supposed to be 15 mins, but we took only 5 mins for most of the breaks. Lunch break was supposed to be 1 hour, but we only took a bit more than half an hour? The distance was obviously more than 28km, and I heard from duno who that a commander took a GPS to measure the distance, and it was actually 34km. LOL. The march immediately after lunch was the most shag for me, but i took a power nap during the next break, and i felt all refreshed. No problem with the march thereafter. And i was helping the rest who were lagging behind. Heh. Came back at 5+pm, parents were all waiting for us at coy line already. Its dam funny how we were supposed to proceed to leader's square to watch NDP, but all of us were walking like we have a crippled leg. LOL. And NDP was quite funny, the part where...isit MP? supposed to juggle their rifle, one of them missed and dropped the rifle. Duno what song the lyrics supposed to have "Cause" but it was shown on tv as "Cos". HAHAHA. MSN language for the win!

Monday holiday, tuesday also off day for us. So i went back to CJC with ivan, eugene and jerome. Was good to see all the teachers again. There are sooo many new teachers now. Wanted to have a good talk with tan jek suan but he had meeting. Wanted to meet Mrs Renne Lee but she wasnt in school. =/ But at least i got to meet some of my juniors too! X'tine and jon *ahem*, emo, junyi, hutt shun, richmond, chris lye, cherie, eunice... Saw val toh and grace too, but they cant seem to recognise me xD

Then we had Chevron's night that day. Basically a mini party for our coy at the chevron's. Didnt have to pay anything and got food got beer. What's there to complain about? Heh. Okay lar, only for a short 2 hours+, but i had fun! And apparently echo and foxtrot coy dont have this thing. Poor thing.

Booked in on wed afternoon..nothing much. 'Cept Japhet bullied my buddy Darence, so i played a lil prank on him. I first put my empty kiwi can in japhet's bedsheet. Of course he just took it out and threw it away. Then i know that he leaves his sandals outside while he bathes. So i took my black camou cream and put it in his sandals. He came out, walk walk then realized his whole feet was black. He thought somehow kiwi ended up on his legs. Then i put more black camou on his lock key, and water bottle cap. The following morning, he touched all those areas and went for breakfast. He wiped his mouth with his hands, so his mouth was black as well. HAHAHA. He didnt understand what was happening, and just took it that the kiwi he threw away wanted revenge, so the kiwi god was there to exact vengeance. LOL. Okay basically these last few days was dam funny lar, everyone ended up having black cream on them after they wake up. HAHAHA.

Very last day of BSLC. Graduation parade ended at 8+am. We waited until 4+pm before our posting were out. -.-" Soo yea, i got into Engineer Training Institute, CBRE. Gonna be in the same camp as gab bro. Heh. Again, im going to the same place as JONATHAN ANG ZHEN YI. Buddy from BMT, go sispec together, now ETI together. Zai.

Supposed to have 1 week block leave next week. But i dont have enough leaves to take, so i needa go back camp on mon and tues. Sian.

Heh sorry for the lack of updates, been really lazy. But i promise a LONG post after i pass out from SISPEC tmr. =D

A quick update. This week was cool, we were allowed nights out on monday and thursday, then friday was book out day. But i had to go back on saturday for CBRE physical test. Was quite fun, 'cept they kept asking us questions while we were clearing the obstacles. For example, while we were dismantling and reassembling a 3D puzzle while wearing a bomb suit, they made us say our NRIC, then repeat it backwards. -.-

Grand slam next week, i think im only gonna book out on sunday cos i got COS duty. But sunday also book in day. Sian.

Back from field camp. Feels good to be clean. Was terrible cos i had flu and cough right before the camp, and i still have it now. A lot of ppl had mild fever during the camp, scary. But well, at least the 'first' field camp's over. So thing's all good. Heh.

Just went to watch Harry Potter movie with my parents just now. Everything was so fast paced, plus i didnt read the book, so there were many parts which i dun understand. And so much emphasis was on love-love between those characters. Bleh, Iuno, i dun reli think this is a good movie.

On a random note, I realized my favorite songs currently all begin with 'n'. New divide, no surprise, no boundaries...

Oh and while reading magazine, i found quite a useful tip.

Havent been updating in a while. Games day in sispec was cool. Bball very first match against weijie's team. Semi finals against eng seng's team. Fight for 3rd position against chee wai's team. Only got 4th in the end, but i had fun overall lar. Heh.

Hectic week this week. Dam shag. Im lucky I didnt have to go back on sat for TSR re-test. CBRE test was insane. Doing so many IQ tests at one go. At night some more, can die one leh. Gonna have field camp next week, i think gonna be more shag. Sian.

Ohh and i finally got GTA and Eternal Sonata for my ps3. Pay day a few days ago, so i can afford to spend money! These 2 games can prolly last me for months, which by then Kingdom Hearts for DS will be out! Gotta remind myself to get back my DS from ivan some time. I hope he doesnt spoil it x.x

Im quite tempted to start a facebook account. I'm prolly one of the very few ppl who doesn't own a facebook account. I'm quite lazy to update all those stuff, make fren requests, etc. Iuno, is facebook even worth my time? I got at least a few loyal readers, so i shall change my poll. Heh.

Sispec

My first week in Sispec was good. Kilo coy, together with all the other Yankee platoon 2 ppl who came to sispec. So in my section of 15 ppl, i already know 12 of them when i came in. Life is pretty much similar to what was in BMT, except with much less punishments, better food, more slack time, and the list goes on. But what has changed the most, is myself.

I was a really quiet person during BMT. Keep low profile, always emo-ing by myself, taking things TOO seriously... I duno, maybe it was hard for me to adapt to army life back then. But I'm back to being myself now that im in Sispec. Going crazy, being so freaking lame I piss ppl off sometimes, volunteering to do work, bonding more with my mates, saikang work coming to me for no reason... I'm just glad I'm back to being myself.

Gonna have sports day next week, so fast. I'm prolly gonna join bball, but volleyball looks like they lack players. It doesn't really matter, really. I just wanna have fun.

Hello World

Sorry for the lack of updates, been busy plus no motivation.

POP on 10th june, finished everything at 5+pm. It was already 8+pm by the time i reach home and have dinner. While everyone is out celebrating, i got to prepare for my flight the next morning. 8am flight, gotta reach airport at 6am, so i woke up helluva early. Sian. I slept throughout the whole flight to Beijing, only waking up for meals. I was reli too freaking tired.

Lazy to update so much about what happened in China. Just that i got a fever of 38.2 degrees there. But the fever was gone a few hours later. PHEW. Fog in Beijing is terrible, return flight was delayed by almost 2 hours. Its been only 2 days since i returned, and im starting to miss my cousins already. =/
